A hut on the bushline with great views, well worth the up-hill grunt to get there.Even more spectacular when visited during the winter but add some extra time because of the conditions.

Pelorus Track (via Rocks hut & Totara saddle)

The Pelorus track is a semi-remote forest experience in Mount Richmond Forest park.It leads up the Pelorus valley and over the Bryant Range to the Hackett car park in the Aniseed valley or 'The Brook' in Nelson city.

Mount Owen - northern approach from Courthouse Flat

Mount Owen (1875m) is the highest point in Kahurangi National Parks, a bare landscape of marble karst including New Zealand's longest cave system. The climb is not difficult and there is ample space to explore once on the mountain.
