I have a passion for tramping in NZ.I have over 25 years experience and I have been to most Forest and National Parks in NZ but the place I know best is Tararua Forest Park.This park is fantastic to gain experience,as the weather can go from hot sunny summer conditions to screaming southerlies and snow and rain for days at a time.
To make the most of the park join one of the many tramping clubs around the Wellington area who run excellent trips all year round.
