Updates January 2010
I have just upgraded the location picker you use when adding information. You can now choose points off a map as well as search.
Let me know what you think.
A couple other things:
* Google Earth integration on the large map.
* Reporting inappropriate content in the forum.
There seems to be an issue with the private mail. When you send a message you get an error though the mail goes through if you go back and look. MistB and I are sending multiple messages to each other :-)
True, but I now feel so validated :)
One feature request please...
Ability to enter coords in
xx xx.xxx yyy yy.yyy using WGS84 datum.
Tried the calc/converter but couldn't charm it into action.
As used by us lowly geocaching crowd slowly spilling over into the True Faith of tramping.
Allows me to read existing waypoints straight off the GPS without having to pull up the Topo and guess. Guess! How quaint! ;)
I note that the GPS in the smart phones use the WGS84 datum with degrees and decimal minutes also.
And while I am making a spectacle of myself...
Why didn't you enable the ability to add images in the Rich Text Editor for the article editor? I tried to enter a tutorial that uses images, but had to abort at the discovery there is some discrimination against it ;)
Seem to have lost the ability to download GPX files. I am keen to look at Mad Pom's marathon in detail but would like to download it and look at it with my own software.
Whenever I click on any link in my RSS feed, it causes an exception. And when I entered the site via a Google search, the same thing happens. They seem to share this url format http://tramper.co.nz/?n, and the exception is: A box with key 'photostream' is not defined. Check photograph.xml.cfm .
I'm sure that you guys must be talking about something really important, I just wish I knew what it was.
There has been some downtime this evening while I implemented a new mechanism for controlling the application.
MistaB, those issues you report were due to the app not starting up properly.
pmcke, oops my mistake. Fixed.
