Just wondering if you guys can recommend any outdoors style blogs about NZ?

Hi Andy. You're welcome to check out mine if you want.
http://www.windy.gen.nz/
It tends to be biased towards the lower North Island plus whatever opinionated trampey stuff I feel like ranting about.
Quite a few others have popped up here and there in the last few years as well. If anyone knows of other good ones that I haven't listed below then I'm also keen to hear. Some NZ outdoor blogs that I follow are:
http://www.lightwe...mping.blogspot.com/ (Investigating ideas for lightweight gear use in NZ, based out of Auckland)
http://bushcraft.o.../profiles/blog/list (More of a website full of forums and info, but also has a blog section for users to post in)
http://www.skylark.co.nz/blog/ (hasn't been updated for 520 days)
http://trippytramping.blogspot.com/ (Trip reports mostly focused around the lower North Island, upper South Island)
http://paulherseywrites.blogspot.com/ (Paul Hersey's blog, a mountaineer/author)
http://backyardandbeyond.org.nz/ (The separate blog for an outdoor promotion project that Paul's involved with)
http://www.freewebs.com/hellmission/ (More of a website with trip reports than a blog)
http://tramping.ty...om/tramping_report/ (Frank and Honora's blog, but it hasn't been updated since Feb 2010)
http://andrewbarke...se.blogspot.com.au/ (Andrew
Barker's Southern Traverse)
Some related blogs I also follow are:
http://blog.doc.govt.nz/ (Department of Conservation -- don't expect anything controversial here but they do post warm and fluffy stuff)
http://blog.metservice.com/ (MetService blog -- regular qualified posts about understanding the weather, often interesting)
Then there are at least a couple of tramping clubs that regularly post trip reports in a blog format with RSS feeds:
http://trtc.blogtown.co.nz/ (Taieri Recreational Tramping Club)
http://www.napiertrampingclub.org.nz/ (Napier Tramping Club)
There are others that I haven't listed, too, often more personal blogs of people who frequently discuss tramping and outdoors amongst other interests. Plus various commercial ones like the Icebreaker blog, old blogs that haven't been updated since 2006 but still exist, blogs more focused on things like mountain running or orienteering, and so on. There are also a few interesting websites with nice content but they're tricky to follow for updates because there's no RSS feed provided. eg. The Remote Huts Westland website -- http://www.remotehuts.co.nz/ -
Thanks for the mention, izogi. Have to fess up and say that blog is entirely Frank's work. He doesn't have time to contribute to it these days. Shame. He is a perfectionist so it does take him a lot of time but I just bang things up here on this site!

Oh, okay.
A couple I missed are:
http://envirohistorynz.com/ (NZ Enviro-history isn't so much outdoor, but I often find it interesting as a related topic)
http://tramping-ruth.blogspot.com.au/ (Ruth's Tramping in NZ blog which I'd never heard of until it was referenced here, looks very outdoorsy.) -
Thanks izogi
does anyone know why skylark doesn't post anymore. i really enjoyed his posts. -
