Zekes Hut
Just south of the army training area at Waiouru, is the Hihitahi Conservation Reserve. A couple of hours walk up and over a high ridge finds you at Zekes Hut, built in 2007. The 4-bunker is real cosy.

Tidy old NZFS 4-6 bunker near Beeby's Knob, on the south-western edge of Mt Richmond Forest Park. Frequented by mountain-bikers and 4WD enthusiasts. Few folk stay the night. (The fire is really smoky.)
