Snowy River Hut ,Tararua FP
This is a pencil drawing done by my work mate ,Scotty Behrnes,while we were looking for bats (peka peka) in the Snowy /waiotauru/tregear area.

OldGoat Spent 2 weeks there. Put "bat"boxes out on the spur opposite the hut , that leads to the Southern Crossing route, from memory about 20 boxes ....no bats!
Its one of the nicest places, no mod cons , a basic hut like they used to be!But a bit of a mission to get out if the river comes up.
