Lower Matakuhia Hut
This is an old hut lower down the Matakuhia Valley. It was given a new coat of paint a few years ago but little else has been done.

From the Upper Matakuhia it is apparently a good 6 hours down to this hut along and old overgrown track. A lot of windfalls from recent snow storms apparently
